Investment Criteria
Transaction size
Forex Nigeria trades daily and manages a portfolio of investment assets for her clients. We seeks to deploy 1 – 2% of our portfolio capital in each trade. In addition, we exercise prudence and due diligence in our trading vehicle to leverage to our capital structures that enhance value.
Larger investments are also considered either alone or in partnership with select private equity firms and other investors, as appropriate.
Industry focus
We seek investments in industries that have historically (and are expected to prospectively) generate attractive returns on capital and where we see macroeconomic and industry tailwinds or the opportunity to capitalize on discontinuities. Forex Nigeria evaluates industry attractiveness on several quantitative dimensions including growth, return on invested capital, competitive intensity, and margin evolution, and on qualitative trends that we expect to support or impair a business’ prospects. While we focus on several key industries that we believe are attractive on the dimensions above, we continually test our assumptions to identify industry and sectoral opportunities that warrant further analysis.
